The Goodwins
The story begins....

That was not on the Weight Watchers plan, dear.

So Sarah and I have been doing WW together, and so far it's been a great success for us both. As of yesterday morning we were both down 10 lbs!! Yay to the Goodwins, right? Keep on the right track, right? WRONG!!! Let me tell you how we both celebrated this occassion.

Sarah had a girls night, that included Jennifer and some other girls. They had a great time, so I am told. It was girl's night...I wasn't there. They went to Henry's, a Cajun style restaurant in downtown Acworth. Sarah got shrimp and grits, and something that was apparently called Seafood Ooo-La-la. Doesn't it sound so healthy???

I went with my buddy Adam to Old South BBQ in Smyrna. Adam grew up eating at this place, and wanted to go badly. Naturally, he decided to ask his dieting buddy of 15 years to go with! How nice, huh? I had the pork plate, which was pulled pork in all its deliciousness, with fries and brunswick stew. Oh, and don't forget the garlic toast and the sweet tea!! Yum.Mo.

Now ask yourself, did they stop there? Why no!! Sarah was so thoughtful and kind, that she brought home bread pudding that we could eat together.....at 10:30 at night. But boy was it all kinds of good!

So the moral of the story.....we didn't weigh ourselves this morning, b/c we may well have gained the loss back in one fell swoop. But man was it fun!!

  1. Don't be so hard on yourself...WW allows for set backs....the point is to try and stick with it MOST of the the time.....you'd be surprised, you may not have gained. Just get right back on the WW wagon and you'll be fine!! Way to go, Keep it up!!

  2. A friend who I work with and his wife did WW. They lost so much weight together. They were both totally hard core, though, and they trained for a marathon and everything. Anyways, when they would go over their points on WW, they would make it up by doing some hardcore exercising. I'll have to send you their hardcore excel spreadsheet that basically does all the WW stuff for you. Like you put in your weight and your goal weight and then you can pick from a list what you ate or what/how much exercise you did and it calculates your points for the day.
Well, good luck guys. I'm one of those people that if I even hear the word diet, I end up gouging myself on chocolate or something...but I've heard WW is different.
